I heard Help! on the radio about a year ago, and got it stuck on my mind for ages.... So I ended up buying the red album, and I've been hooked since ;D

I became a fan in April 2006 when I was 14. I've alwasy known about the Beatles, but all I knew was that they were a band and something big. That's it.
But when I heard the song Love Me Do play in a restaurant, that all changed. I recognized the song because I probably had heard it playing at home a few times when my parents happened to be listening to it. So I'm like whoa, who's this? And my parents told me it was the Beatles. So I had the song stuck in my head for awhile. A few weeks after that, my mom and I were at the Hard Rock Cafe in Cleveland, and they showed a lot of Beatles on the tvs there. I got even more interested, and my mom started telling me about them.
Then I decided to look through all my dad's cds to see if there was any Beatles. I found the "One" album, and sat and listened to the whole thing. That's the day I fell in love. I loved every song, and the pictures in the booklet. I found that I recognized a lot of the songs on the cd.
I then found out that my dad had the Anthology book, so I looked through it and just loved it. My love just grew and grew, and always will. I'm now a full-fledged Beatlemaniac. I know all the obscure trivia, have my whole room decorated Beatley, have every cd, shirts, movies, everything. The Beatles have a huge impact on my life, no other music caught my attention. They are just so appealing. I'm very thankful that I happened to find them, my life would be nowhere without them.

Great Story! I discovered the Beatles when I was around 13 or 14 too!! But now I am quite a bit older. Still, I wish I was around at the time. But I was born 12 years after they landed in the US so I missed it all!! ![:'(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cry.png) I relive it everyday tho! Can't go a day without hearing them.

Well, I'm only 13, so I never got to see the Beatles or live during their era. Anyway, last year one day when I was really bored and had nothing to do, I looked through my dad's CD collection and picked out the Beatles. The first song that I heard was A Hard Day's Night. I fell in love with the Beatles and now I do not listen to any more of that Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears crap. I am in my own Beatlemania and now I listen to Simon & Garfunkel, Peter, Paul, & Mary, Beach Boys, Zombies, Animals, Byrds, Elvis, John Denver, Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, etc. I had not known how lucky I had been!!! Thank you Beatles, for giving me good musical taste!!!!!!!!!!!!

^Yeah, it certainly seems like the Beatles can open people up to other music. They did that for me, too. I would have never like the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, The Beach Boys, Elvis, Bob Dylan and all those bands from the 60s if not for them! Of course, the Fab Four are without question at the very top of the totum pole for me, no one else even comes close at all! Thank you, Beatles!!!

well, actually my father was the fan first. He has the a collection of the Beatles concert, an album full of beatles pictures and he would often play his guitar or the piano with some of the beatles tunes. In my years of growing up, all I hear is him saying the word 'Beatles' over and over again. One time, when I was 9 my father showed me a poster he got from the Beatles a year ago. The Beatles in pink suits and holding roses. My father told me that Ringo was the star of the films, while George is the gentleman one, while Paul is a great and awesome artist and composer, while John is the genius of all. He would also tell me funny stories about the Beatles. how the screaming fans adore them and how they would run like crazy, being chased by the fans and how John and Paul love to play pranks all the time. My father also taught me to play 'let it be' and 'your mother should know' in our piano. At first he showed me the chords and I got a hang of it. It was such a good melody and everytime I play it in the piano, my dad will sing along and strum his guitar. My father told me that the Beatles are next to frank Sinatra, Elvis and Michael Jacskon...they were the legends of Music and will never be replace. And though there are many artists today, those legends are still me heroes ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Haha. My Dad Played The Beatles To Me And My Older Brother When We Were Babies. So, As I Grew Up, That's What I Listened To. And Really Nothing Else. So, It Was Cool. Then, As I Was Getting Older, I Watched Anthologies, Movies, DVD's, Anything That The Stores Had About The Beatles. I Read Books Too. Then, The Beatles Became My Obsession. My Friends At School Would Call Me "Beatle Girl" All The Time.
