Meeting Pete was indeed very cool, but actually interviewing him was amazing. I had met Pete at a Beatles convention back in 1995 originally. Then in summer 2005 I was volunteering at a local non profit radio station. I was a Special Features Producer that specialized in the British Invasion.
I was in my managers office and he said that The Pete Best Band was playing a few towns away. The radio station was a sponser of the theater Pete would be playing at and he asked me if I wanted to interview him. So naturally I said YES!
I did a phone interview with him to promote the show. He liked the interview so much that he let me extend it from 30 minutes to 45 minutes. Then at the show itself I got to go backstage and ask some more questions for an hour long Pete Best special that I was doing.
The best part was when it was over, Pete's manager emailed me. He wanted me to know that Pete said it was the best interview he's done in over 10 years.

After fleeing the Philippians, the Beatles stopped over in India on July 8, 1966. This is the first time the Beatles set foot into India. George planned this part of the trip so he could buy an authentic Indian Sitar. Here we see John, Paul and George getting a demonstration. Aside from George buying his authentic Sitar, Paul and John also bought their own as well.

About that pic, does anybody else here wonder about the shoe there? I'm trying to figure out who's it is or whatever. I've seen this photo lots but the shoe just caught my attention.

I would say it's just one of the props.. but who knows? Maybe it's John's.
Looks somewhat like a Beatle boot to me.
Now I wonder whose underwear is Paul wearing..

I'd bet dollars to pesos that those panties belonged to one of the strippers in the club. I just hope Paul's had enough sense to get himself tested. I wouldn't wear a strippers panties now in this day and age. Let alone a seedy sailor port like Hamburg almost 50 years ago!
However, for the stripper's sake, I hope she saved them. Anything a Beatle touches is valuable. I can see it coming up for auction now: Paul McCartney's Panties
