An Open Letter To the Admin of this incredible Beatle fan forum:
I am writing this to very humbly ask permission of the admin for this board to post an invitation to every member of the wonderful forum to visit my new site, www.beatleguitar.com
Please understand that I am NOT here "trolling", only visiting with the intention of "stealing members".
QUITE THE CONTRARY!
It is actually my sincere intention of opening up a "sister" type site, if you will, with my forum, for the purpose of providing a few unique sections not available on most Beatle "fan type" sites.
You see, I could never hope to match the quality of the product the admin have delivered right here! This is a fantastic site, and any attempt to duplicate would be an exercise in failed redundancy. Others have tried and failed!
Rather, I have another area of strong interest to many Beatle fans like myself, who also happen to be musicians and/or collectors of Beatle related gear like me, and that is an opportunity to show off and discuss that gear, (Beatle related guitars, amps, an even some non-Beatle gear), and even have a place to Buy, Sell, and Trade a few pieces from time to time! Because this would open up a whole new arena for the members here, I see it as a possible welcome asset, not a “threat” on any level. In other words, I come in peace! LOL!
In addition to the focus on Beatle gear, (hence the name of the site, www.beatleguitar.com ), I also have created a couple other sections unique to a Beatle based forum, including a section for Ukulele players, (George’s favorite instrument, and now one of mine, after falling in love with the Uke during a trip to Maui), and another section dedicated to “Young Musician’s”, for kids under 14 that typically are rather unwelcome on these boards because of possible adult issues. On www.beatleguitar.com, there is a section just for THEM, and it is moderated by my 10 year old son, who is diligently learning the piano and guitar, (and doing VERY well!), but anxious to chat with other “young musicians” like himself that are “forced to practice so much” by Mom and Dad! Imagine how much the budding musician in YOUR family might enjoy interacting with kids their own age who have similar interests. (And obviously, similar parents! LOL!)
Another unique section for such a forum is the area dedicated to Carly Simon
I’ve been “in love” with Carly for almost as long as my obsession with The Beatles, and now as a member of her Riverrunner team, I have committed to her that I would help promote her awesome new CD, “This Kind Of Love”, on every site I could, so of course mine is the first place I thought of, and I expect to find quite a few folks who feel the same way as I about that beautiful lady.
I apologize for this quite long post!
I wanted to give all the details I could to support my request, and I want the admin to know what I bring to the table, which is the resources and willingness to work exhaustively to make a combined site effort a tremendous success, and while I have very few members now, (my site is only a few days old!!), I expect that in time I will be able to send just as many new members to THIS site as may visit me from yours! There are a LOT of guys who spend a LOT of money collecting and playing Beatle gear, and if you take a look at completed items on eBay, you’ll see that Beatle related guitars ALWAYS bring several times the price of a non Beatle guitar counter-part, so we are a financially strong and committed group and we are always happy to belong to a group where the attitude got left at home and there is plenty of warm and friendly fun and conversation.
What do you think?
Can I promote www.beatleguitar.com here on your wonderful site?
I hope the answer is a resounding “Yes!” and if so, you have my absolute promise to do MY part in promoting THIS site on not only my forum but every other one I possibly can.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts, hopefully, getting a warm welcome, and eventually “joining forces” to bring the BeatleGuitar collectors/players/musicians together with all the fantastic fans you already have as members!
Sincerely,
Richard@BeatleGuitar.com
