hey all! I'm gonna ramble now so be prepared! my name is savannah and I'm completely, utterly, entirely, uncontrollably, unfathomably, wholly in love with the fab four ^_^ *huggles* you have no idea, sister. my friends have gotten sick of my incessant beatle chat, so I decided to find some additional friends who are also obsessed! YAY! don't worry, I may get a little scary but I don't bite I'm fifteen and I live in canada (blah). I can read and write well, thanks very much, and I'm also a decent graphic artist and a not so decent pencil-artist ^_^ but I love to draw anyway - I've mangled all four of the boys at least three times over *georgeeyebrowwiggle* I'm proud to say that I'm an avid anti-Hannah-Montana, anti-Pussycat-Dolls, anti-Tila-Tequila, anti-rap, and accomplished disco dancer! *breaks out in dance* I also sing Beatles (what else??) in the shower, and I have several different record players in my room, but my favorite is my 45 player (I collect retro stuff ^_^). AND last week I found an ahdn poster actually FROM the 60s!!!!! *gasp* it was uber expensive on ebay but totally worth it. my ONE real-life beatles confident and I have a plot to buy a volkswagon fourgonnette ( click ), paint it hippie colors (with flowers, of course), and take over the world with peace and love! I also sport a trendy Beatles lunchbox! (WEEPWITHENVY! ) so hello, how are ya, thank you for putting up with my rattling on, and hope to be FABFRIENDSFOREVER with all yeh's (PS I talk a lot, in case you haven't noticed [/ramble]

Hi lennon_love, and welcome to the forum! I hope that you enjoy it here, and is John your favorite Beatle? Mine is Paulie. ;D Anyways, I'm 17 and completely obsessed with them too. That's cool that you collect all that retro stuff, I have some Beatles records and books that are over 40 years old. They were my mom's when she was a kid in the '60s, and she gave them to me. My dad also has a record player as well as all the Beatles albums on record, but they're not from the '60s, they're just like 10 years old. We hope to get a good needle for the record player and stuff to clean records so I can listen to them. I have all the albums on CD, but I like listening to records. That's also cool that you have a retro Hard Day's Night poster. My mom's one customer is a big Beatles fan and he had a Beatles poster that's actually from like 1964, and he gave it to me for free! It was a surprise too, I didn't even ask for it or even know about it. He has a lot of cool retro stuff, so he thought that he should give me one thing since he has so much. His name is Paul too, haha. So how long have you been a fan? I have for a little over two years now.

hello! thank you:D John is, yes, my favorite, but I love all of the boys indefinitely - they're all pretty much my favorite ^_^ My mom wasn't even alive in the sixties, lol, so it sucks that she can't give me all her retro stuff, but what can you do? and lucky duck, I had to pay for my poster, and shipping costs are a pain in the arse. but it is a really gear poster, totally worth it ^_^ ooh, I have a poster story! on Ringo's birthday, my friend (the one who I'm going to take over the world with ^_^) bought me a Let It Be poster from HMV as a present, and I got her A Hard Day's Night DVD collector's edition 'cos I already have it the poster was on cardboard, not rolled up, so I had to carry it to the movie theatre from the mall, and I met soooo many old people who had seen the boys in '62 i have three really old Liverpudlian friends now, and one slightly creepy Scottish lady who talks to me whenever I go in HMV now but it's really wicked, because the only British person I'd met beforehand was a lady who I was in the elevator with last year, who said, "toodles," to me when I got off so the lesson is if you want to meet Beatles fanatics, carry around a gigantic poster of them oh, and today I got an old 33 player for free at a yard sale, and it's a model I didn't have yet I was looking for that exact model last month online and I couldn't find it, so now I'm content I've only been a fan since about February, but I'm about as hardcore die-hard Beatlemaniac as you can get

Yeah, I've found that ever since I've been wearing Beatles t-shirts or something in public, I'll get older people's attention and they'll say something like "Oh, so I see you're a Beatles fan!" Haha, I liked how you said it was a "gear poster". Nice terminology, there! And that's awesome that you got that 33 player! I'm dying to get a good needle for my dad's record player, it's temporarily without one at all. He has so many records, and I want to try and see if those old ones of my mom's work still. She had some of the American ones, like Yesterday and Today and Meet the Beatles that I want to hear. My mom was like 7 or 8 years old when they came to America in '64, and my dad was about 6. My mom was the bigger fan back then, and she collected everything Beatley. She collected all of those Beatles cards that you get inside of a bubblegum wrapper. She had like every single one, hundreds and hundreds of them! She had tons of magazines with them in it from the start to the break-up. Her two older sisters and cousin were into them big time, too. Who wasn't back then, seriously? Her one sister actually went to a Beatles concert with her friends! My mom begged and begged to go, but her mom said she was too young for it. Anyways, my aunt and her friends knew someone who got backstage to get Paul's autograph, and so they somehow ended up getting a pic of him that was signed by him. They all (stupidly, in my opinion) tore it to pieces so they each could have a piece of his autograph! So my aunt took a little piece of Paul's autograph home that night, like a tiny half inch by half inch piece or something. So they added that to their Beatles collection. I could have that piece of autograph today along with all of those cards and other Beatley stuff, but after my mom moved out, her mom threw all of her Beatles stuff away!!! My grandma is the type of person who throws any old thing away. All of that would be worth a fortune nowadays, and when I first heard that story about her older sister getting that little piece of autograph, I was sooo mad we didn't have it now. I could of had it sitting here with me right now! That's cool that you're a full-fledged Beatlemaniac like myself, I'm about as big a fan as they get, too! I seriously, for two years straight, have listened to them every day and go on Beatles sites, forums, or read fanfiction every day. It's cool to meet so many fans that are my age, that means the Beatles haven't and never will die! (Wow, that turned out to be a really long post, sorry 'bout that!)

Wow, that sucks! I would never ever ever throw away anything Beatles, I'd just as soon throw out a hundred dollars as Beatles memorabilia, my children are probably to be Beatlefans based purely on the fact that I own so much I met the Scottish lady again yesterday when my friend and I were wrestling over the last Help! DVD and shouting Beatley insults at each other (in good humor, of course. kinda. it IS the Beatles, after all). She came up to us just as I managed in a Liverpool accent (trying to make my friend laugh, that's the only way to loosen her grip when it comes to the boys), "Don't be so bloody dense, you toad, you've got that gear poster I wanted!" And the Scot asked what we were fighting over, and I told her it was the last bit of sanity in the store (we'd just cleaned out everything Beatley the day before, literally). My friend finally got the movie away from me and raced to check out, while the Scottish lady said to me, if I liked the Beatles so much, she had some things I could have Apparently I have to wait 'til next week, but I'm positively praying for an autograph ^_^ Doubtful, but possible. I'm new to the whole Beatle forum thing, I've just been stalking YouTube and the graphic forum I belong to and making graphics of the boys to ease my obsession. I hadn't even considered Beatle forums 'til last week or sommat, then I Googled it and got here ^_^

Haha, yeah, my kids will also one day be Beatles fans, I'm pretty sure of it! That's funny what you said to your friend to try and get the movie away from her! Haha, pure Liverpudlian! But she got it in the end, didn't she? Well, I hope that you get some cool stuff from the Scottish lady at least! ;D I love getting Beatley stuff, and I should really check out any garage sales I see in case they have an old Beatles record or some piece of memorabilia, that'd be cool. Another cool Beatles forum that I belong to that you should check out is this: www.dmbeatles.com/forums/
