I'm rather curious, how is Cynthia's tone???
This isn't her first book about the whole experience. Honestly, I haven't gotten her latest book and am quite curious her frame of mind towards the whole thing. Mind you, I'm not trying to make up for John's short comings - he's a complete, unforgivable bastard for putting Cyn and Julian through what he did.

I've read Cynthia's book and I thought she was very honest about her life with John. In the first half of the book, she talks about the early days of their relationship and you can see how much love she still has for him. Towards the end where she's writing about the divorce and Yoko, she sounds a lot more bitter, as you would expect, but her main concern seems to be Julian rather than herself.

I'd say its pretty honest but I'll never know for sure haha.
I'm done reading it now and the beginning was my favorite because its so cute how they were young and in love but of course we all know their relationship ends bad so the end wasnt as enjoyable.
Some things about Yoko seemed a little unfair like when she wanted Julian to wear Johns hat & scarf and Cynthia wrote that Julien thought Yoko was just putting on a public show of it so it would seem like they were close.. anyways I think Yoko was probably just trying to be nice and thought Julien might like to wear it or something.. it just seems extravagent (sp?) that she'd think up a plot about a hat and scarf and how the public would think, its just crazy

I'd love to read it. I read an interview with her and I felt the same thing, she still loves him so much, but she does seem a little bitter, understandably, towards Yoko and the divorce.

Well, all John felt she and Julian were worth was a settlement of $800,000...

She wrote a book about John? Woah! I never knew that. I'm going to look that up. I need to read it.

I was ecstatic when I found John in Coles the other evening, and naturally HAD to buy it. I stayed up 'til 2am to finish it, and it was a completely mesmerizing book. There's so much I didn't know about their relationship that I know now, and you can feel the love she has for John still. It's not as bitter at the end as I expected it would be, and I really felt for Cynthia and Julian. The pictures are awesome as well. I also found a biography on Paul, I'm halfway through that now

John was very nice to read for a John fan, but I think Cyn's earlier biography will be more emotional and intense since it was after the whole ordeal she went through. Young John and young Cyn in love was the best. You can tell they really loved each other, no matter the complicacies. The separation was cold and heart-breaking.
