This is gonna be a great weekend for me, 'cause tonight I'm going to see the tribute band Revolution Pie play, and tomorrow I'm going to the theater to see Across The Universe! I've been waiting for this movie to finally come to the theater!
On the Oprah Winfrey show last friday, she had the director (who was also the person who thought the whole thing up) on the show: Julie Taymor. She was talking about the movie, and said that she (the director) actually SAT NEXT TO PAUL MCCARTNEY while showing him the movie! Oprah's like "Did you really?! I always thought I was gonna marry him!!" She was very excited, I never knew she was such a big Beatles fan. And then Oprah asked how it felt to sit next to Paul. And Julie said that it was the most terrifying moment ever! I'm sure it was, 'cause Paul still seems to attract all of us ladies, and she probably didn't want to be embarrassed in front of him or whatever! Wow, I would've been so nervous if that was me! And I thought it was really cute that when they played All My Loving in the movie, Julie said that Paul was singing along under his breath! By now Oprah (and myself for that matter) were flipping out!
This really looks like a good movie, and even when Julie asked Paul what he thought of it, he said "What's not to like?" They showed clips of it on the Oprah show, and even had some actors/actresses come out and sing Blackbird, All My Loving, Don't Let Me Down, and All You Need Is Love. Oprah even had tears in her eyes at one point, because I'm sure it brings back lots of Beatle memories. The audience was really enjoying everything too, and were singing along with the songs. Looks like it'll be a good movie! And that sure is something when Paul McCartney himself tells you that!
