About 2 months ago, on July 21st, I went to the House of Blues in downtown Cleveland and saw an amazing tribute band play called Hard Day's Night. They really put on a show, and mostly played songs from the early and mid career, but also added in stuff like Revolution and Let It Be. They wore black suits, went for a break, then came back on with the Shea Stadium suits. They of course had all the Beatle instruments, and really did a great job, in both playing and impersonating. Especially the guy who did Paul, he acted like him on stage, and had all of the mannerisms down perfectly! And afterwards, they all came out to chat a little and sign autographs. I got my pic taken with the Paul dude, too!
So, I really reccomend going to see this band, you'll love 'em! Their website is www.harddaysnight.net, and a great sound-alike (but not look-alike) band that I'm seeing again tomorrow night is Revolution Pie.
One more thing, there's a whole bunch of the best tribute bands on www.abbeyroadontheriver.com, which is a site for the festival. One of the bands you might wanna check out is called Stockwood, and it's the youngest Beatles tribute band in the world. The oldest member is "Paul" at 14, and the youngest is "Ringo" at 10! Sounds like a joke, but my friend has seen them and says they're amazing! And if you got to youtube and type in Stockwood, you can see for yourself. "George" is an OUTSTANDING guitar player, as well. Watch 'em on youtube, and be amazed!
Anyone who wants to talk about their tribute band experiences can share on here, too.
